Terms of Service
The following terms govern your use of the PearMedica platform and Clinical Intelligence API.

Platform Purpose
PearMedica provides clinical decision support and AI-powered triage recommendations. The platform is a decision support tool, not a medical diagnosis service. Final clinical decisions remain with licensed healthcare providers.

API Usage & Fair Use
API access is governed by your subscription tier. Rate limits are enforced per API key using a sliding window algorithm. Default: 100 requests per minute. Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses with retry-after headers.

Data Protection
All patient data submitted via the API is encrypted using AES-256 and processed in compliance with NDPA 2023. During the pilot phase, only synthetic or fully anonymised data is permitted. Real patient data processing requires completed data localisation to Nigerian infrastructure.

Liability
PearMedica provides decision support, not medical diagnosis. Customers maintain liability for patient outcomes. The platform is designed to assist, not replace, qualified healthcare professionals. Both parties maintain indemnification as outlined in the B2B customer agreement.

Service Level Agreement
PearMedica targets 99.5% API uptime with sub-500ms P95 response time. Detailed SLA terms, including credits for downtime, are defined in the Enterprise tier agreement.

Account & API Key Security
Customers are responsible for safeguarding API keys. Keys can be rotated or revoked via the customer dashboard. Compromised keys must be reported immediately. PearMedica is not liable for unauthorised use due to exposed credentials.
